Video Editing Made Easy With Shotcut Video Editor

Learn How to Create Videos Fast with Shotcut!

Get started editing your videos with Shotcut Video Editor.

I designed this course to help you start video editing fast using Shotcut.

This is what you will learn in this training.

  • A quick overview of Shotcut’s interface and tools, what they’re for
  • Basic edits like how to trim, split, rearrange and join video clips.
  • How to add and adjust transitions from one scene to another.
  • How to add text like titles and annotation to your video
  • Adding images and overlays to your video to create watermarks or logo
  • How to add and remove audio like music and voiceovers
  • Multi track editing to create Picture-in-Picture and also green screen effect.

Apply as you learn.

Each video lesson is kept short so that you can zoom into a particular lesson in the event you forgot how to create a certain effect. That way you save time without having to watch a lengthy video just to get to the part you want.
You should be able to create your video in about 60 minutes even if you are new to making videos. Once you are ready, there are also more advanced lessons to show you how to create videos with more effects.

The lessons are sequenced in a nice progressive manner, but you can also directly visit specific topics ~ Dan Dennedy

“…I have never used a video editor before and was afraid it would be extremely difficult to learn ShotCut because there is no manual and very little training
material available. It is very difficult to search for exact details in the forums.
Your course is worth more that the modest price.”

    Happy Student

James has laid out this Shotcut course in an organized and comprehensive manner. As someone who has always struggled with retention skills, the "segmentation" of this course outline and the ability to "revisit" individual course segments is invaluable. James is also very conscious of reaching out to his students to see how they are progressing and offering support and inspiration. This course is well worth the modest fee and James is an excellent instructor.

    Well organized course

The small chunks are good to quickly answer the questions you have when you're using Shotcut. If you want to tour everything before starting you can, but if you want to start a project and learn along it's easy too.

An excellent course, an easy-to-use reference, a thoughtful teacher

James is an excellent teacher, he is clear and concise. I like the way he designed the course to cover one function at a time, which makes it easy to find and replay specific topics. I sent James an email about how to navigate the course, and he responded within hours with a video that he made to show me how to do what I needed. So excellent support as well. Thanks for doing this, James, and for a reasonable price.

Outstanding course with an outstanding teacher!

I purchased James Woo's course because I wanted to learn to use Shotcut. After I watched all of the videos in the course, more than once, I realized his videos were clear, concise, and in the order they need to be to properly learn how to use Shotcut. After watching his videos, I started to watch other videos from other people that were"sharing" their knowledge and they didn't even come close to fully explaining the some of the features and why those features did what they did in Shotcut. James Woo did - Thank You! Thank you such great learning videos on how to use Shotcut. I'm glad I made the purchase and you will too!!

I just finished the course for the first time.

I am going to do the course again, not because I did not understand something, but the course gave me a lot of great ideas that I am going to use.
